Welcome to Ludworth Primary School

"We must remember that intelligence is not enough. Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education. The complete education gives one not only the power of concentration, but worthy objectives upon which to concentrate."  - Dr Martin Luther King Jr.

FORMER LUDWORTH GIRL RETURNS AFTER NEARLY 80 YEARS!

Former Ludworth Pupil Irene Etchells came to our school in 1920 and left at 14 in 1934. Many children - those who didn't go on to grammar school - did stay on until 14 at that time, when they would leave education for good to begin a job). Irene toured the classrooms she learned in as a girl, and met today's pupils. "It's much nicer and livlier than it was when I was here," she smiled. "There's so much going on. I've had a lovely time coming here again." Irene's name has been formally added to our Alumni page.
