Welcome to the PTA section of our website.

About us

Ludworth Primary School benefits from an extremely productive Parent Teacher Association. We consider all staff and parents as members, and warmly welcome all forms of involvement.

Our purpose is to develop relationships and look after each other. To raise funds to support the school, and to provide opportunities for staff, parents and pupils to come together outside of the teaching/learning environment.

Our social events bring us closer as a community.  Our fundraisers enable purchases that improve the lives of our children at school.

In the past, the PTA has funded (in part or fully):-

  • The provision of laptops in the classrooms
  • New computers in the ICT suite
  • Coach transport to the annual pantomime
  • New library books
  • The playgrounds, including the reception outdoor learn & play space
  • The provision of musical instruments
  • The Ludworth float, which is a feature of every years' Marple carnival
  • The extension of the reception wing
  • We’ve raised funds for some wonderful outdoor musical instruments which are located on the field
  • The sound and lighting system in the hall used for all the amazing productions that you will watch whilst your children attend the school
  • Most recently the PTA have provided more than £9,000 of the funds required to equip all of our classrooms with state of the art interactive flat-screen boards.

Ludworth Parent Teacher Association is a Registered Charity – no. 1013188.

The group allows parents and staff to keep in touch, to share fundraising ideas, to advertise our fundraising events and to maybe even organise some social events! All parents and staff are welcome to join.
