We had a close up look at mini beasts including a tarantula, giant millipede and an enormous stick insect. We learnt interesting facts about each one. Did you know that the male stick insect trumps when it is grumpy? After a much appreciated packed lunch, we had a quick look at the dinosaur skeletons and handled some unusual objects such as an African elephant’s tooth. We then made our way to the planetarium to sit back and enjoy a show about the possibility of alien life. What a busy time we had!
Active Maths ~ New Zealand Class
We love to get active in Maths lessons. Today we played a game where we visited different planets around the playground and solved calculations with missing numbers. We also revisited the planets and explained our reasoning to others. We had lots of fun playing a code breaking game where we matched number bond pairs and used all our answers added together to break the code.
