This week in Maths we have been learning about 2Dand 3D shapes. We all enjoyed using the straws to make different shapes. We used junk model boxes to create loose part castles and explored the woodland area for natural materials to make shapes.
We were all amazing at remembering the names of the 3D shapes! When making the loose parts castle the children carefully sorted the boxes into cubes, cuboids and cylinders before they began. Lots of lovely mathematic vocabulary used. 🙂
We had a great time this week making junk model castles. We all tried really hard to include features of castles including battlements, arrow slits, drawbridge, portcullis, towers and turrets.
This week we continued working with Nick thinking about how we can use our ‘Super Powers’ in everyday situations.
We have all tried hard to use our determination, problem solving, independence and communication skills. Well done Team Barcelona!
