In Y2 we continue with phonics to help with our reading and spelling. We begin to focus on selecting the correct digraph/trigraph to spell words correctly. We use 'choose to use' and 'switch its' to help us. The characters Choose to Use Suze and Switch it with Mitch help us.
For example:
Spelling lion correctly, with the i rather than, lighon with the igh spelling.
Spelling cake correctly, with the a-e spelling rather than, caik with the ai spelling.
